We spent the first two weeks of August hiking near the headwaters of the Noatak River in Gates of the Arctic National Park, Western Brooks Range. We spent the first week wandering around the Noatak above Lucky Six Creek. It was a great week. We explored several side valleys, hiked up several peaks, and saw lots of bears.
Pictures from the second week are here.
