The Mentasta Mountains are where the Alaska Range meets the Wrangells. We took our nephew Ben and spent a couple days hiking the ridgelines above the Caribou Creek cabin. The hiking is excellent, the flowers were out, and the views of the north side of the Wrangells are spectacular.
