This year we had a team of 5. There were three of us from USGS, including myself, Kate Bollen, and Adam Clark. David Rounce and Albin Wells are collaborators from Carnegie Mellon University. We did all of our usual mass balance work including remeasuring stakes, placing new stakes, and digging snowpits. We also did some maintenance at two of our weather stations. We helped David and Albin to put out time-lapse cameras to measure surface velocities and surface elevation changes, collect low frequency GPR for ice thickness, and place continuously monitoring ablation stakes. I was moving kind of slow the whole trip as I haven't fully recovered from COVID yet, but thanks to all of the hard work of everyone else we were able to get a huge amount of work accomplished. I am looking forward to seeing the results of our efforts!
